To work as Head : Medical Services with this leading Hospital in the Western Suburbs of Mumbai. As Head : Medical Services, you would report to the Chief Operating Officer and be responsible for the following:
Formulating long term/short term strategic plans and SOPs to enhance operations.
Ensuring proper implementation of policies towards promoting & protecting health & safety and environment & organizational effectiveness.
Conceptualizing and implementing rules and regulations to maintain good medical services of the hospital.
Experience as a NABH Assessor
Handling administrative matters, ensuring compliance to statutory processes relating to occupational health.
Coordinating and monitoring the activities of all Consultants and ensures that the quality and appropriateness of services meets community standards & delivery metrics.
Performing regular supervisory rounds in hospital premises, wards and departments to maintain a clean atmosphere.
Act as Custodian for Clinical protocols at unit level and ensure high standards of patient care
Manage and ensure coordination within medical and non-medical services to deliver on service quality standards
Define and implement Performance Parameters for Doctors.
Responsible for implementation and adherence to SOPs in all Clinical Specialties, conducting regular Medical Audits on an ongoing basis.
Ensure that proper Standard Operative Procedures are in place for the efficient admission, care & discharge of patients
Set up & ensure the regular functioning of the following clinical committees, in consultation with the COO
Hospital Infection Control Committee
Pharmacy therapeutic Council
Quality Management Services
Monitor Diagnostic facilities (Radiology, Pathology and blood bank) to ensure service quality levels
Ensure proper upkeep & confidentiality of medical records & patient documentation
Develop & implement regular Patient Feedback mechanism
Monitor Infection Control Department to ensure efficient functioning
Monitor and guide functioning of Dietetics department to ensure service quality Work closely with the Nursing Superintendent and take all necessary steps to ensure high standards of patient care. Ensure that proper Standard Operative Procedures are in place for the efficient admission, care & discharge of patients.

Co-coordinating between internal departments and external bodies like Government agencies for permits, conducting Investigators meeting, etc.
Rendering support to Doctors and Sales force by establishing affiliation with other Health Care Institutions.
Clinical leadership and overall supervision to all physician extenders.
Ensuring effective utilization of clinical structures including high end equipment & Operation Theatres.
Establishing the Standard Operating Procedures for the institution in some departments.
Responsible for exploring and engaging various measures for patient growth by promoting patient satisfaction in all areas of patient care delivery and revenue generation.
To arrange, coordinate and supervise Medical Audit, Pharmacy Audit.
Provide inputs for developing and implementing Medical services of the organizations.
Handle the matter related to Consultants and RMO Manpower planning, Recruitment procedure, Appointment Policy, leave Policy, Salary/ Professional Fees Structure, Quality Manual and coordinate with HR department related to Consultants and RMO services.
Coordinate and handling Medico Legal Aspect of the hospital.
Coordinate for providing reports to Government/ Local Municipal Corporation.
Coordinate to HIC committee in improving medical quality of the hospital.
Developing rapport with other functional/departmental
manager so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of Medical Service Development.
Coordinate the entire operations of the CSSD for the smooth functioning of the supplies to & fro to various areas of the hospital. Ensure waste management is as per statutory norms
Coordinate with the Emergency team for all medico-legal cases received at the hospital.
Plan and control Overall administration budget Compliances
Responsible for all medical licenses & statutory requirements
Responsible for functioning and maintenance of all Medical equipments of the hospital including to adhering to SOPs on the uptime of all Medical Equipment.
